IT Professional Training (ITPT) College partners ISC2 in developing the future cybersecurity professionals in Scotland.
A successful cyber-attack can cause major damage to your business such as significant financial losses, damage to their reputation and even the closure of the business. Sadly, these cyber-attacks are becoming more sophisticated and organizations across the globe are lacking the skills needed to deal with them.
IT Professional Training (ITPT) is a very well-known coaching institution in Glasgow and Edinburgh (Scotland UK), for providing the best and funded IT computer courses & services in the industry, and are committed to developing cyber professionals who understand how do prepare and protect their business from cyber-attacks.
As a result, ITPT has partnered with ISC2, the world’s leading not-for-profit member association for cybersecurity professionals to support students to gain sought-after cybersecurity certifications to increase their employability and job-readiness.
ISC2’s mission is to strengthen the influence, diversity and vitality of the cyber security field through advocacy, expertise and workforce empowerment that accelerates cyber safety and security in our interconnected world. We serve to educate, empower, embrace and engage our members through every step of their careers.
ISC2 was attracted to the vision set out by ITPT to support students gaining the skills needed by employers.
We will start with our Certified in Cyber Security (CC) certification – this enables newcomers or students from all backgrounds (including the non-technical background) to learn the basics and prepare themselves for a junior role in the modern cybersecurity work force.
In addition, students undertaking the government funded programmes are supported to take the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CISSP) exam which assures employers that the individual student has the knowledge of Cloud Security as well as being up-to-date with industry standards.
The CISSP Certification is recognized and endorsed by leading organizations around the world and is one of the most respected and requested cybersecurity certifications.
Hiring managers often use the CISSP as a benchmark because it requires both passing a tough test and on-the-job experience.
Alex Mortimer, ISC2 Academic Partnerships Lead, said, ‘We are delighted to be working with ITPT as we support the students to gain certifications that will support them to be considered for cybersecurity job roles.
