NAT 5 Tuitions – Computing Science – Weekly Face 2 Face & Virtual Classes

November 30 @ 9:30 am - 10:10 am

NAT 5 Computing Science Tutoring Course:

Our weekly one-to-many tuitions are tutor-led and can be taken either in person or virtually at our Edinburgh centre. These lessons are designed for students studying SQA National 5 Computing Science. Each 40-minute class offers a deeper and more effective learning experience than traditional school lessons, helping students to fill any knowledge gaps they may have due to school absences.

We also offer one-to-one tuitions lessons, either face-to-face or virtually, at our Edinburgh centre. These 40-minute sessions are also aimed at students studying SQA National 5 Computing Science and provide the student with the tutor’s full attention. This approach can be more effective than group lessons, as it allows the tutor to consistently address the student’s strengths and weaknesses without the distraction of other students. The personalised teaching approach enables students to learn at their own pace, without feeling pressured by the progress of others.

Test your knowledge:

We will evaluate students existing knowledge with the help of an aptitude test to find out your current status of learning progression.

How We Teach

Our fully qualified SQA Assessors and Tutors provide high-quality lessons tailored to the set content for each session, helping every student achieve their full potential. We follow the latest SQA guidelines and update our lessons as needed.

We use both SQA past papers and our own exam papers. Practicing with these past papers helps you identify the topics you’re strong in and those you need to work on. This way, you can track your revision progress and gain confidence in what you know.

Here’s what we focus on:

– Teaching and thoroughly revising the key areas of SQA National 5 in Computing Science.

– Working through exam-standard questions.

– Reviewing and understanding SQA marking guidelines.

– Building exam techniques, consolidating knowledge, and enhancing problem-solving skills.

– Ongoing tutor support online through Microsoft Teams, where students can ask questions, get help, and download learning materials. These materials are also available digitally via ITPT Moodle.

Additional help to Students:

Students will be provided ITPT Moodle access to utilise uploaded digital learning materials to aid in learning more from home.

Tutor Experience:

We are an accredited private institution, authorized by the SQA, specialising in the provision of SQA qualifications at SCQF levels 4 to 9. This experience places our tutors in good stead to know the key areas, skills and question types for the prelims. We prepare students using past papers, focussing on not only the instructor-led theoretical knowledge but also the supervised practical experience. Our courses incorporate intensive and extensive hands-on exercises to boost the theoretical knowledge of our students with practical expertise.

  • The tuition is taught by the SQA teachers who have wealth of experience in teaching the SQA curriculum. They have detailed, expert knowledge about the syllabus and requirements of the exam board.
  • Students will be given ITPT Moodle account individually where they can easily access all the course lessons and resources.
  • Students will be taught specially about time-management skills.
  • One-to-one attention in a supportive and enjoyable environment, which means all students’ questions will be answered in more depth.
