The network field is perhaps one of the fastest growing fields of expertise in the industry, and several certifications are available in the Network field, including the CompTIA Network + certification. Networking is the most integral component of information security today and network knowledge is a requirement to be a proficient information cyber security specialist.
CompTIA Network+ prepares networking professionals to earn vendor-neutral certifications in other areas of expertise. A certification by CompTIA, Network+ (N+), helps demonstrate a person’s knowledge in TCP/IP, managing a network, network operating systems, and installing and upgrading networks.
The CompTIA Network+ certification ensures that the successful candidate has the important knowledge and skills necessary to:
Design and implement functional networks
Configure, manage, and maintain essential network devices
Use devices such as switches and routers to segment network traffic and create resilient networks
Identify benefits and drawbacks of existing network configurations
Implement network security, standards, and protocols
Troubleshoot network problems
Support the creation of virtualized networks
Prerequisite:
Required: There are no required prerequisites for Network+ certification.
Recommended: It is recommended for CompTIA Network+ candidates to have the following:
